Leave this session with an international library partner to begin a revolutionary initiative for teens
Over the past year, teens from Aarhus and teens from San Antonio Texas have periodically communicated online with the goal of sharing video and
experiencing the fun of communicating with teens far far away…
The teens in Aarhus and in San Antonio (collectively known as “Denmerika”) have exchanged video, used facebook and google hangouts
to communicate …
it has been fun, frustrating, eyeopening, and taken on a life of its own with the teens involved. But this has us thinking…. What if the adults who work with teens that attend NextLibrary could all get together and talk about a potentially HUGE partnership – that links teens at libraries from all over the world.
What if teens explored cultural competencies… got to know each other and fostered global community and understanding?
What if teens could shrink the world?
