Next Library® Conference Berlin 2018 will be full of Interactive Sessions, Ignite Next Library Talks and brilliant keynotes. But we also want to give you an opportunity to find more inspiration and get more social. Therefore we have arranged a number of site visits you can choose from.

You can find all the information you need about site visits on this page. Most of them are free, some of them are not. All require prior registration, during the regular registration process. We will have:

Visits to Berlin Library Branches

© J. Pranke

Berlin has over 80 libraries, all connected in the Berlin Library Association (VÖBB).

9 of them are happy to open their doors for you and give you a tour and some insights into their daily work. Please sign up for those visits during the regular registration process which will open in May 2018. The times indicated below are the times of departure at and anticipated return to Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek; the groups will meet at the conference venue and travel together to the local branches. Traveling times depend on the branch (between 30 minutes and 1 hour), see details in the individual PDFs below. (Each tour will be accompanied by a staff member who will meet the group, travel with them to the respective library (via public transport, ticket costs to be borne by each guest individually) and take them back from the local library to the conference venue at the end of the tour.)

You may book these free tours during the regular registration process which opens in May. All tours will be in English. Please note that the Wednesday library tours take place in parallel, so kindly inform yourself prior to the registration process and choose one during registration. Thank you.
