Call for Poster Sessions at Next Library 2013

The call for Poster Sessions is now closed. 

Below the copy of the call:

Poster sessions will give participants the opportunity to visually present a best practice, a project, an idea or an invention – and to share ideas and learning with other Next Library participants.

All posters must relate to at least one of the 3 themes of Next Library 2013:


Civic Engagment/

Collaborative Innovation/

All participants at Next Library 2013 are invited to propose a poster (except companies/sponsors that wish to present commercial products or services)

Poster sessions will be exhibited in the foyer in Music Hall Aarhus, the location of the 2013 Next Library Conference Monday 18 June and Tuesday 19 June.

Each participating poster author will have a poster board at their disposal (1.5 x 2 meters). There will be one (shared) table for all poster sessions for hand-­‐outs etc. Note that you need to bring your own hand-outs.
You will be able to reach an electrical outlet with an extension cord. Furthermore, there will be access to a wireless network.

No equipment will be provided, but you may bring your own.

Note that the foyer is a public space, not exclusively for conference participants. The safety of your poster including the equipment is the poster authors own responsibility.

All Next Library participants will receive a list of posters with the title of each presentation, a brief description and contact information. Generally participants browse through the tables, pick up hand-­‐outs and stop to visit when a topic attracts their attention. We expect around 300 participants from all over the world attending the conference.

Poster authors will be interviewed by the Next Library Studio and the interviews will be published on



Submission deadline for proposals: 1. June 2013

Send your proposal to the Poster Session Committee:

Proposals should include: A title, an abstract of max 400 words about the topic and how it relates to one or several of the conference themes, information about the poster author (name and link to profile at

Next Library Crew will inform applicants of the decision of the Poster Session Committee a week after the submission deadline.

Monday 17 June 8:00 am:
Poster authors hang up their poster in foyer of Music Hall

Tuesday 18 June 13:00 – 15:00 pm: Poster authors take down their posters.

No funding is available from Next Library for the poster sessions.
