I am Tim...

I was born in Berlin, live in Hamburg at the moment, but return to my beloved hometown in a few weeks to be the Head of a library in Berlin.

I startet with an apprenticeship in a Scientific Library 14 years ago, completed a BA in History and Cultural Science afterwars and finished my MA LIS last year.

As a Librarian...

...I'm interested in the ideas of green and sustainable library services and therefore I am part of the newly formed Green Library Network in Germany. I am also interested in the role libraries play in cities and urban development. Also important to me are the ethics of librarianship or the question, if we need any...(I think yes!!!) ;-)

Outside the Library...

I like to do sports after a working-day (I live my Cross-Trainer!!!) or like to see some Football-Games. I also really love to walk through the streets of Berlin in the evening, having a cold beer in my hand and talking to a friend. If you are interested to join me, your're very welcome! Maybe I can show you some places of my 'old' Berlin because the city changes very rapidly. This walk is often connected to see some live-Music in some small and old Clubs. Maybe we can listen to an interesting Band!?
