Interactive enrichment programs for youth (literacy, STEM) that librarians can do. Often librarians are not trained on development milestones of children, teaching methods, so they have to teach themselves. What materials, games, activities are at hand that we can use to develop truly educational programs - but fun - for older kids (NOT story time). I've had experience doing these because I've been fortunate to work with teachers-turned-librarian, but we still basically started from scratch making up games and adapting workbooks to our idea. If others out there are doing this - what things have you found that work - subject matter and activity - and maybe it would be fun if we all tried them together in a workshop.
