Hello, I'm Corinna, an academic librarian at ICI Berlin Institute for Cultural Inquiry, an independent research and cultural institution. I also have a public library background (though slightly fading after ten years' work in a research library). This is my first Next Library, and I will write a conference report about it for the German professional magazine BUB Forum Bibliothek und Information.

I'm active in the Berlin section of the German Library Association (Deutscher Bibliotheksverband e.V.) and in the One Person-Libraries working group of Berlin/Brandenburg.

BUDDY EVENING: Thursday, September 13 right after the last conference event

I look forward to hosting a few Next Library participants as a Buddy! The outing I want to take you to will begin with a 15 minutes ride in the notorious M41 bus to multicultural Neukölln. From Hermannplatz, we can walk down Karl-Marx-Straße to the Neukölln Arkaden Shopping Center where the Neukölln public library is situated - it's worth a look! We'll then have the choice whether to have a drink in the rooftop bar Klunkerkranich, or to enjoy some Falafel or Schawarma in a Lebanese snack bar  - it's up to you! Maybe we'll end our tour in Weserstraße (which is heavily under gentrification) with its numerous bars, coworking spaces, Spätis, and even a new independent cinema.

I speak German and English, and also some French.
