Monday 17 June 13:30 - 15:30

/From The Innovation Studio - Aspasia Tasiopoulou & J. van Beijnen

– Join the Circus!
How can libraries facilitate innovation?
How can we introduce different ways of learning, enhance civic engagement and strengthen empowerment?
One answer could be Makerspaces.
Maker Spaces or Hacker Spaces are physical locations where people with common interests meet to share, collaborate and create projects.

In this interactive session we explore the combination of children and makerspaces. We will hear inspiration and knowledge from people who have experience in working with children and makerspaces. We will have the opportunity to share experiences with similar projects with eachother and  discuss how this knowledge can contribute to developing library services in the future.

Speakers:
Camilla Jørgensen from Cirkus Mærkbar (Circus Tangible), Sager der Samler
will talk about social innovation and working with making sustainability fun and tangible for children in Circus Tangible

Despina Gerasimidou and Aspasia Tasiopoulou from Future Library, Greece and Maria Vrahliotou from Serres Public Library, Greece

Louise Overgaard, Aarhus Main Library
will share experience on children and makerspaces from the development project ”Peoples Lab”
