- Keynote / Why We Show Up: Cultivating Hope and Community Action in Uncertain Times
In a time marked by polarization, environmental uncertainty, and shifting public trust, three innovators discuss the power of libraries worldwide showing up for their communities and what personally drives them to continue leading with purpose in civic life.
Through stories of resilience, hope and community impact inspired by a single prompt – “Why do we keep showing up?” – Shamichael Hallman, Tommi Laitio and Stacie Ledden will draw connections between their lived experiences and what libraries uniquely can offer at this moment of vulnerability and uncertainty.
Attendees are invited to engage in this dialogue by reflecting on their own “why” and coming together through song.
