Session

Tackle misinformation in your community through play! Using our team’s experience co-designing and deploying misinformation escape room games worldwide, we’re conducting a rapid-fire design session in which participants will choose a misinformation context and design a game to address it.

Talk to us after the session to inquire about turning the game idea into a deployable experience.

Nisha Devasia
is a 2
nd year PhD student researching meaningful gaming experiences for behavior change at the University of Washington. Nisha previously designed AI education curricula for children and worked as a software engineer at Twitch.

Chris Coward
Chris is Senior Principal Research Scientist and Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington Information School. Chris studies how people engage with new information technologies to increase agency in their use of technology. Chris is currently designing escape rooms and play-based activities for boosting resilience to misinformation.
