Ignite Talk

Books can meet technology to create awareness.

Wiki Editoras Lx (WELx), a feminist collective, work with librarians and citizens to edit Wikipedia pages about female writers using a special source: a feminist book collection. Everybody intervenes: WELx find new information that is not online, librarians learn how to use technology as a reference source, while providing specialized knowledge thought the curation of contents within the physical books, and everybody engages in active citizenship enriching the open-source knowledge and community. Feel like tangling in?
