Ignite Talk
Throughout the ages, countless books have been banned for a variety of reasons. Some began as bestsellers only to end up in courtrooms or on the burning pile. In Banned Books, Marjoleine tells twenty-four fascinating short stories behind books that were once banned – or still are in some parts of the world – from Where is Waldo and Lysistrata to The Hate You Give. Each article comes with discussion questions that are used for open conservations.
The Ignite Talk will explore some of the following questions: What did Marjoleine encounter when writing the book? And how did she develop dialogue sessions on this sensitive topic? Embark on a journey through tales of censorship and ask yourself – what do I personally think about this?
