- The Tinkering Dream Lab
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
Expo
Drop in, hang out (geek out), and explore the themes of NextLibrary through your hands.
The Tinkering Dream Lab is an open environment to explore key learning areas like STEM, literacy, the arts, and beyond through making and tinkering.
The space invites participants to engage with ideas through physical materials in a joyful, collaborative, and playful way. Inspired by the spirit of “thinking with your hands”, the activities support curiosity, conversation, and co-creation.
You’ll find low-threshold, high-ceiling activities from balancing mobiles with recycled materials, to story telling with LEGO, to making data-embedded jewelry, that allow for all styles of learners and all ages to dive in. No prior experience needed.
Especially for the Next Library festival, we created a conversation corner where you get inspired and exchange ideas on how to design convivial spaces and activities that encourage citizens to meet and share about their dreams and passions through making something tangible.
The Tinkering Dream Lab is open daily from 10-16 (except during keynotes). No prior experience needed, curious minds welcome.
