- Libraries and Landscapes: Hands-on Exploration of Wild Herbs and Nature Connectedness
Session on-the-go
Join me for a hands-on, sensory-rich session of finding, touching, smelling and tasting wild Danish spring herbs in their surroundings. We will meet around the fire for an introduction to the herbs. By ourselves, we will practice foraging for them to get an embodied sense of the landscape in which we are placed.
This session will illustrate how libraries can explore working with practical sustainability and nature literacies.Â
Host
Amalie Søvndal Nielsen
Holding a MSc in Sustainable Heritage Management, Amalie works with the relationship between nature and culture (e.g. cultural uses of wild herbs). Through an internship in 2023, she developed the Plant Library at Dokk1, which explores human-plant relationships and nature connectedness.
