The Smallest Common Multiple - Next Library

The Smallest Common Multiple

Session

The Smallest Common Multiple is an interactive roleplay activity showcasing the Express Citizen Laboratory (ECL) format for public libraries. The roleplay promotes community development through active citizen participation. Attendees will take on diverse roles as citizens of a fictional society who are tasked with finding solutions to specific problems within that society.

In these fictive roles, attendees with develop skills in collaboration and democratic principles while co-creating prototypes for solutions. Attendees will also gain insight into how public libraries are uniquely suited for this type of interactive roleplay – offering a safe environment for dialogue to play out with the help of trained ECL facilitators and librarians.
