Ignite Talk

Inspiration from the SDGs and Next Library 2017 were incorporated into the design and amenities of the Clinton-Macomb Public Library’s North Branch which opened in 2021. Learn about such features as geothermal heating and cooling, outdoor musical instruments, trees reclaimed from the construction site, “Stonehenge” story circle, watershed education panels, floor display boxes and an inside/outside table. Also learn how raccoons and birds are using the library!

Larry is Director at Clinton-Macomb Public Library (USA). He has 42 years of library experience, a BA in Spanish and German, an MBA and an MSI-LIS. He is a past president of the Michigan Library Association and Public Library Association, and a Library Journal Mover & Shaker. Larry was just elected as the next Treasurer of the American Library Association.
