Ignite Talk

A plurilingual, multi-cultural group of teens run our library’s Creative Minds Community Festival of Arts and Culture, whose impact ripples joy across an area marred by anti-immigration sentiment. This project breaks down barriers, builds a sense of belonging, develops literacy, numeracy, social, emotional and cultural skills, and fights for diversity, equality and inclusion at a time when it’s needed more than ever. A qualified librarian (MLIS) since 2010, Robin’s Dublin-based work with marginalised library users has been recognised at the Irish Excellence in Local Government and Library Staff Champion Awards. Robin is Treasurer of the Library Association of Ireland School Libraries Group.
