Ignite Talk

Artist Joanne Grüne-Yanoff has been leading community-building workshops with multigenerational marginalized populations throughout the world since 2016. She often anchors her workshops in libraries, culminating in site specific art exhibitions that connect workshop participants with each other and the public. 

 Joined by curator Suanna Urminska, the pair will share how this exciting project strengthens community and democracy and can be implemented in libraries of any size.

Curator Suzanna Urminska has developed programming and partnerships in libraries, archives, and museums for more than 20 years, connecting lived experiences with public resources and services. Suzanna’s work was featured in NextLibrary 2017.
